First, Wish Orchard is an anagram of my name. And I thought that the anagram ended up being an amazing metaphor for life. The brief span of human life is an orchard full of wishes ripe & ready for the picking.
Second, I’ve always been a contemplator, organizer, builder of stuff. I grew up in evangelical Christianity, but find that there is more to real life than most fundamentalists care to admit. There is a lot about my past that I’ve become disillusioned about. I cannot change my past — so I embrace the fact, and move on. I don’t know where I currently stand in regard to religion — it often does more harm than good, and I am personally more about doing more good than harm. I do seek “whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, and worthy of praise” — but I’ve come to recognize that it’s simply not always present in most forms of Christianity.
Third, I have always had a science fiction bent, and think that the world can continue to become a much better place through love, hard work, and ingenuity.
Fourth, I like LEGO Bricks. A lot.
